Talk about shared places and everyday experiences. Treat the people behind every line with respect.

Keep private people safe

Do not post private information, threats, hate attacks, targeted harassment, insults about an ordinary person, or unverified accusations against them. Repetitive spam and vote manipulation are also not allowed. Criticism of public facilities, transport and consumer experiences is welcome, including negative reviews.

One line, with room for disagreement

Profanity, a blunt tone or disagreement is not a violation by itself. NB means “I agree.” BS means “I disagree / too much.” Votes are opinions, not fact checks or judgments of a person. A high BS count or number of reports does not automatically establish a violation or remove content. Awards belong to a line, never to a person.

Review and report

New lines and replies require review. Use BS, reply, or block to respond or control what you see; removal is a last resort for rule violations or concrete safety risks. Blocking hides content in both directions. We do not secretly reduce a person’s visibility or reach. If content is removed, its author receives a policy reason category and may request review by a different reviewer.

Threats and exposed private information take priority. We aim to give other reports an initial response within 24 hours, subject to actual reviewer coverage. Support: customer_service@departures.icu.
